Caoqi's graduation

We began the semi-regular game nights! Sometimes it is a dedicated evening with dinner, other times it's a quick round or two of games after lab meeting! 2022.10.31: Immediately following ASHG, we had a small Halloween party gathering, while Diego Ortega, a friend with the lab and junior group leader at UNAM visited!

2022.06.01: Chiang lab participated in the 5th annual Artist & Researcher series as part of the Humanities, Ethics/Economics, Arts and the Law (HEAL) program at Keck School of Medicine. This year we are paired with eric beal, who used spray paint on canvas to illustrate "the fabric of us." His work illustrated how all humans, across races, are all interconnected by an underlying network of trees. One major research theme in the Chiang lab currently is to leverage these trees, which can now be inferred from genetic data, to improve on the design and interpretation of human genetic studies.
2022.05.07: Lab outing at Tanaka Farm in Irvine for Brussels sprout and strawberry picking, farm tour and petting zoo!
